Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim Meets Larijani and Discusses with Him the Latest Security and Political Developments in the region
In the framework of his visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, met on Monday, January 5th, 2015, the Iranian Shura Council Chairman, Ali Larijani.
Both sides discussed the latest security and political developments in the region. His eminence appraised the Islamic Republic’s support to Iraq throughout its security ordeal with ISIS, stating that the Iraqis can defeat this terrorist group when they are united, citing the victories achieved in Jarf el-Sakhr, Baiji, Dallouieh and Amerli and reiterating that victory over ISIS is very near.
