Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim Says ISIS Is the Common Enemy of all Iraqis without Exception and Praises the Iranian Support

Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, said the terrorist ISIS is the common enemy of all Iraqis of all components, denominations and rites, explaining that the ISIS gangs are killing all the Iraqis who reject their extremism and takfirism and perpetrate crimes in the areas they have violated, while maintaining that the Iraqi government represents all Iraqi components and works on their unity and cohesion.
This came during a press conference held by Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim after having met with a number of grand religious authorities in the holy city of Qom on Tuesday, January 6, 2015.
His Eminence also appreciated the Iranian support for Iraq in its war against terrorism saying it is not intended to a specific denomination but to all Iraqis who are fighting this terrorist organization. According to him, Iraq provided the necessary advices to the Iraqi forces to repel the attack of the ISIS on the Iraqi cities, including the Iraqi region of Kurdistan, when the gangs tried to occupy Erbil.
Moreover, his Eminence pointed to the fatwa of Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani calling for defensive Jihad and which, in his opinion, helped unite the Iraqi people and defeat the criminal ISIS. He added that the procession of the Arba’een of Hussain (AS) has become a universal procession of loyalty against injustice and persecution.
