    Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim Discusses with Religious Authorities of Qom the Victories Achieved Over ISIS and the Firmness of Iraqi National Unity

     
     
    Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, underlined the failure of ISIS compared to the resistance and sacrifices of the Iraqi people who hurried to defend their land and dignity. He stressed the need to strengthen unity among Muslims around the world to abort the mischievous plans and prevent sectarian discord, praising the support shown by the Islamic Republic towards Iraq in its war against terrorism and extremism.
    This came after his eminence met with a number of religious authorities and scholars in the holy city of Qom and visited the shrine of Fatimah bint Musa al-Kadhim (the innocent), where he met the Grand Ayatollah sheikh Amini, sheikh Nouri Hamadani, sheikh Ja’far Sobhani, and his eminence sayyid Javad Shahrestani, on Wednesday, January 7th, 2015.
    During the meeting were discussed the developments in the country and the consecutive victories achieved over the gangs of ISIS.
    For their part, the religious authorities affirmed their solidarity with the Iraqi people of all components, stressing the need for communication and enhancement of cohesion and unity among Muslims.
