    Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim Underlines the Importance of Promoting Service by the Governor of Wasit and Serving its People without Discrimination

     
    Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council in Iraq, underlines the importance of promoting service in the province of Wasit and serving its people without discrimination, pointing out the importance of cooperation between the governor and the provincial council as well as opening up to the political forces in the province.
    This came in a meeting between his eminence and the new governor of Wasit, the engineer Malek Khalaf Wadi, in his office in Baghdad, on Tuesday, January 13th, 2015.
    His Eminence stressed the need to fight financial and administrative corruption, as well as those who distort and manipulate the people’s rights, calling to take advantage of the capabilities and expertise of Wasit, whether inside or outside the country, stressing the need to invest the province’s possibilities on the agricultural and oil levels and to maintain the geographical location as they contain important border ports that contribute to hold up Wasit and its people
