    During His Meeting with the Communist Party Delegation, Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim Stresses the Need to Unite National Efforts Against ISIS


    Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, stressed the need to unite national efforts against the criminal gangs of ISIS, highlighting that the unity and solidarity of all Iraqi forces would increase Iraq’s opportunities of development and welfare, after elimination of this terrorist group.
    This came when Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim received the Iraqi communist party delegation headed by the member of the party’s political bureau, Raed Fahmi,  in his eminence’s office in Baghdad, on Sunday, January 18, 2015.
    For his part, Mr. Fahmi indicated the importance of mobilizing the Iraqis against ISIS by carrying out popular activities and events across the country.
    The two sides discussed during the meeting the developments in the country, including the ways to relieve the suffering of displaced families and dry out the sources of terrorism. Were also tackled the relations between the Supreme Council and the Iraqi Communist Party, as well as the regional and international situation and its effects on the country.
