    Calling for universal laws that incriminate the blasphemy of religions, Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim: The Unity and Cohesion of Iraq is a Top Priority


        Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, assured that the unity and cohesion of Iraq represents a top priority for all Iraqis, explaining that all eyes are on Iraq in its cruel war against terrorism and its attempt to recover its natural regional and international role. His eminence reiterated the importance of institutionalizing national cohesion and communicating with the other national parties on the Iraqi arena. This came when Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim was heading the extended central Shura council held at his eminence’s office in Baghdad, on Monday, January 26, 2015.
        Furthermore, his eminence condemned the States that support the offenses addressed to all Muslims and to Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) under the pretext of freedom of expressions, calling on the United Nations to enact laws that incriminate blasphemy and calling on everyone to enter the dialogue, not the clash, of civilizations and to condemn all sorts and forms of terrorist and racist practices.
        His eminence also lauded the victories achieved by the security forces, the popular crowd, the Peshmerga and the Iraqi tribes over the gangs of ISIS throughout the different phases of operations. He finally highlighted the importance of implementing the governmental platform so as to serve the country and the citizens, especially in the current extraordinary circumstances, calling on the members of the Martyr of the Niche movement in executive positions to be always informed of the citizens’ aspirations.
    The meeting tackled the developments in the country, as well as the issues and activities related to the movement’s institutions.
