Sayyid Ammar Al Hakims Calls on the Prisoners’ Institution to Take Quick MeasureÓ to Complete the Formalities of the Citizens of Rafha
Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, called on the political prisoners’ institution to take quick measures aiming to solve the problems and administrative bottlenecks in order to complete the formalities for the sacrificing citizens of Rafha and to implement the law guaranteeing their rights that was issued a year and a half ago. His eminence indicated that the heroic combatants of Rafha have spent long years of their life in Rafha desert under difficult weather conditions and paid dearly for their loyalty to the country.
This came in the weekly Cultural Forum held in His Eminence’s office in Baghdad, on Wednesday, February 04, 2015.
His eminence explained that the Citizen’s Bloc along with other parliamentary blocs have worked continuously over several years to enact a law that guarantees the rights of the citizens of Rafha; however, the bureaucratic slow procedures did not end the suffering of this significant category of Iraqis. He finally stressed that the citizens of Rafha have offered a lot to Iraq and it is now time for the country to compensate them for the difficult circumstances they’ve been through.
