Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, affirmed his solidarity with the rights and aspirations of Iraqi Christians, highlighting their vital role and the importance of their participation in political activities and ad hoc bodies in other fields in a level that suits their status as a major component among the honorable Iraqi components.
This came when his eminence was receiving in his office in Baghdad a delegation from al-Rafidain parliamentary bloc headed by parliament rapporteur MP Imad Youkhana, on Thursday, February 12, 2015.
The delegation expressed its hope to participate in the political process in a larger manner, assuring that the Christians are ready to defend Iraq and free the lands they were displaced from because of the criminal terrorism of ISIL.
