    During a Meeting with the Iraqi Journalists Union, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim Says the Political Process Is Progressing and the Iraqi People Proved that They Can Live and Survive

        Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, said the political process in the country is making huge steps forward albeit the challenges and obstacles and the Iraqi people proved that they are intrepid and they can live and survive in this unbelievable way, stressing that the national media mission is to highlight the important the government achievements and gains, on the one hand, and diagnose the defects and errors in the ministries and government institutions in order to treat them, on the other hand.
    This came during Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim meeting with a delegation of the Iraqi Journalists Union in his office in Baghdad, on Tuesday, 17th February, 2015.
        His Eminence also called on the new union, including many Iraqi reporters, to activate the media role in the revival and increase of the national sense of the Iraqi citizens and reject horrible sectarianism, pointing out that the participation of all Iraqis, from the popular crowd, noble clans and the Peshmerga, in fighting the criminal ISIS gangs represent the unity of Iraqis in fighting against militancy and extremism.
        His Eminence urged the Iraqi Journalists Union to attach importance to and follow-up the legislation and laws that serve the media mission in reporting the image and clarifying the facts impartially, stressing the need that woman must have a special role in the media field.
