Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim Discusses with a Delegation of the Leaders of Kurdish Blocs within the Alliance of Kurdistan the Relation between the Federal Government and the Region of Kurdistan
Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, received on Thursday, 26/2/2015 at his office in Baghdad a delegation of the leaders of the blocs of the Alliance of Kurdistan. During the meeting, they discussed the political process in the country. His Eminence said all parties are in the same boat, and the media escalation between the Region of Kurdistan and the federal government is in the best interest of the enemies of Iraqi like ISIS in this sensitive period.
According to the Kurdish delegation, they had a fruitful and in-depth meeting with Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim where they discussed how to advance the political agreement and not to come back to the previous status-quo because this serves nobody and everyone is engaged in a war against terrorism. They maintained that their choice of Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim was made thanks to his wisdom and his repeated calls to bring the different points of view together in order to take Iraq to a safe shore.
