Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim Receives Minister of Defense Khaled al Obaidi
The head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim, received in his office in Baghdad on Sunday, March 1st, 2015, the minister of defense Khaled al Obaidi. The two sides discussed the security situation in Iraq and the latest developments in Al Baghdadi, Haditha, Samarra, Tikrit, Diyala and Mosul.
In this regard, his eminence stressed the need to build the security institution according to professional standards, and to arm and train the Iraqi forces so as to make them reach a high level of preparedness.
For his part, the minister of defense lauded the support shown by Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim to the security forces, and assured that the security apparatuses along with the popular crowd and the tribes are fighting a fierce war against ISIS and thus need support.
