Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, received in his office in Baghdad on Saturday, March 14, 2015, the governor of Basra Dr. Majid Al Nasrawi.
His eminence stressed the importance of serving the citizens of Basra and compensating the city for the atrocities of war and administrative confusion. He also highlighted that the citizens of Basra should enjoy the wealth of their city just like the rest of Iraq does, calling to implement the program of the citizen’s coalition with available means.
For his part, Al Nasrawi assured that the province of Basra is witnessing a significant decrease of crime rate and a decline of tribal disputes and fire shots, thanks to a plan that ensures the security of citizens and limits the use of weapons. He also indicated that he informed his eminence about the 2015 province plan, affirming that services are its essential substance.
