Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, sent, on Monday, 30/3/2015, a cable of condolences to the Assyrian Church of the East in Iraq and the World on the death of its Patriarch, his Holiness Mar Dinkha.
    His Eminence expressed his grief for the death of the late he described as example of the person who believes in the values of tolerance and peaceful coexistence between the sects and cares for the unity of the Iraqi people, wishing patience and consolation to his family and his lovers.

Greeting filled with faith…
    With sorrow, we have received the news of the death of his Holiness Mar Dinkha, Patriarch of the Assyrian Church of the East in Iraq and the World. We share with you the deep pain of the loss of his Holiness who was an example of the person who believes in the values of tolerance and peaceful coexistence between the sects and cares for the unity of the Iraqi people, wishing patience and consolation to his family and his lovers.
