Sayyid Al-Hakeem discusses security, political landscape with NSA Qasim Al-Araji, stresses sustaining achievements
Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of Al-Hikma National Movement, met with Mr. Qasim Al-Araji, the National Security Advisor on 21/11/2023, and discussed the security and political landscape. His Eminence underscored the significance of safeguarding the security achievements attained through the collective sacrifices of Iraqis from all components.
H.E. also stressed the imperative implementation of security agreements between Iraq and its neighboring nations. H.E. reiterated the need to address the displacement crisis, facilitate the return of displaced individuals to their respective regions, conclusively resolve this issue, and cut off avenues of support for those seeking to exploit it. Additionally, H.E. called for the adoption of explicit programs to counteract the drug epidemic, recognizing it as a menace more perilous than terrorism, requiring heightened efforts in security, intelligence, and community education.
Regarding the Palestinian crisis, H.E. emphasized supporting the Palestinian people, urging an end to hostilities, and advocating for the delivery of humanitarian aid. H.E. called upon all parties to assume their responsibilities in addressing this severe humanitarian crisis. Furthermore, H.E. appealed to the international community to cease employing double standards in addressing issues related to human rights, freedom of expression, and the rights of children and civilians.
