Sayyid Al-Hakeem Meets Republic’s President, Reviews UNGA Participation, Oil Agreement Developments
On Thursday evening, October 2, 2025, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers Alliance, received President Dr. Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid at his office in Baghdad. After welcoming the President, the two discussed the outcomes of his participation in the United Nations General Assembly meetings and the high-level talks held on its sidelines.
His Eminence commended the recent oil agreement between the federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government, calling for its further development as a means to resolve all outstanding disputes.
H.E. also stressed the importance of Iraq’s openness to its Arab, regional, and international environment, underscoring Iraq’s pivotal role in supporting and stabilizing the region.
Turning to the electoral process, H.E. reaffirmed its central importance for Iraq’s future, stating that sound choices are essential for moving the country from a state of fragile stability to one of sustainable stability.
