Sayyid Al-Hakeem Meets Dhi Qar Dignitaries, Elites: Emphasis on Democracy, Freedom, Services, and Moderation
On Saturday morning, October 4, 2025, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers Alliance, met with a group of dignitaries and elites from Al-Diwaniyah Governorate. His Eminence extended congratulations on Iraq’s National Day, paying tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in defense of the homeland and its sanctities. H.E. underscored the importance of adhering to the democratic path, respecting the ballot box, and upholding freedom and dignity, noting that democracy has given every citizen a voice regardless of status or position.
H.E. stressed the value of the freedoms Iraqis enjoy today, calling for their protection and preservation, and warning against neglecting or forfeiting them. H.E. recalled the difficult circumstances Iraq has endured that sought to undermine the post-2003 order, while also pointing to the uneven pace of reconstruction across provinces. H.E. called for stronger attention to services in Al-Diwaniyah, describing it as a province known for sacrifice, generosity, and its noble tribes.
H.E. further urged commitment to the principles of moderation and centrism, and to strengthening and empowering this approach to safeguard Iraq and its interests. H.E. emphasized the importance of electing representatives who genuinely embody the voice of their communities, noting that there are numerous examples of projects initiated by MPs that have brought positive results to their cities and provinces.
