Sayyid Al-Hakeem Urges “Nation Protectors Housing” Initiative, Affirms: Armed Forces Are State Pillars, Deserve Our Gratitude
ayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers Alliance, during his meeting with a group of sheikhs and dignitaries from Najaf, affirmed that the holy city holds immense spiritual and civilizational value. It is the capital of Imam Ali (peace be upon him), the center of the Supreme Religious Authority, the resting place of prophets such as Adam, Noah, Hud, and Saleh (peace be upon them), and the city associated with the awaited Imam Al-Mahdi (may Allah hasten his reappearance).
His Eminence reflected on the events and challenges the region has faced, praising the progress of reconstruction efforts in Najaf and noting that the slogan “Do Not Lose It” embodies appreciation for the achievements that have paved the way toward lasting stability.
H.E. emphasized that security was not attained freely but was secured through the sacrifices of martyrs, the historic fatwa of the Supreme Religious Authority, and the dedication of Iraq’s security forces in all their branches. Expressing gratitude to the security services, H.E. described them as “the makers of life,” calling for recognition of their sacrifices through the launch of the “Housing for the Protectors of the Nation” initiative — the least that can be offered to those who safeguarded Iraq.
H.E. called for ensuring every member of the security forces receives a well-serviced residential plot, pledging to work toward enacting the necessary legislation to implement the initiative. “We are the forces of the state, and the armed forces are its strength — they have a right upon us,” H.E. stated.
He further underscored the importance of caring for the wounded and the families of martyrs, allocating permanent budgetary provisions to guarantee their legal rights, and reducing tuition fees by 10% for the children of security personnel. These measures, H.E. affirmed, are a rightful acknowledgment of those who defended the nation’s land, honor, and sanctities.
H.E. concluded by urging support for those who recognize the value of past achievements and sacrificed for their realization — individuals of integrity, humility, and proven service — to safeguard the state project and sustain the path of progress and stability.
