Al-Hakeem from Al-Najaf Al-AShraf Calls to Empower Moderation Powers, Preserve Achievements Earned Through Sacrifice

From the holy city of Najaf, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers Alliance, recalled the city’s rich history as the home of prophets and saints and the cradle of the revered seminary and blessed Religious Authority.
His Eminence, addressing a large gathering of notables, tribal leaders, and citizens of Najaf, reflected on the challenges Iraq has endured over past decades, noting that the nation has managed to transform many ordeals into opportunities that strengthened its resilience and regional standing. H.E. emphasized that Iraq, in the eyes of the world, appears far stronger and more capable than many of its own citizens realize.
Reaffirming the message behind the slogan “Do Not Waste It” H.E. explained that it symbolizes a stance of gratitude and responsibility toward the sacrifices and blood shed by Iraqis for the sake of their nation’s stability. H.E. described the upcoming elections as pivotal and defining, akin to the 2005 elections that laid the foundations for democracy in Iraq, while the 2025 elections, H.E. noted, will lay the foundations for lasting stability.
H.E. further stated that the Ba’ath regime colluded with terrorism, underscoring the need to preserve the hard-earned achievements and avoid squandering them. This, H.E. added, requires seizing opportunities through wise choices and empowering the forces of moderation and centrism.
H.E. also highlighted the experience of the youth within the Al-Hikma National Movement, explaining that they undergo a structured developmental process, beginning with assessing their potential, empowering them in areas where they excel, followed by training and development programs, then granting trust, empowerment, and performance evaluation. H.E. stressed the importance of intensifying efforts to cultivate qualified leaders capable of serving society and sustaining the nation’s progress.
