Sayyid Al-Hakeem: Iraq Regains International Standing, to Preserve Achievements, Do Not Waste it
During a gathering with citizens, dignitaries, intellectuals, and elites from Baghdad, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers Alliance, affirmed that Iraq has faced immense challenges over the past decades. His Eminence emphasized that looking back at the past should serve as a lesson, not a dwelling place, while the nation must focus on building a future that secures the interests of its people and country.
H.E. explained that the slogan “Do Not Waste It” is not merely a campaign phrase but a statement of principle in response to the difficulties Iraq has endured. H.E. recalled the nation’s experiences with security challenges, terrorism, sectarian tensions, political strife, and power struggles.
H.E. noted that Iraq has successfully overcome crises in its regional and international relations, as well as misconceptions about its reality, and has regained its rightful position and global role. The message behind “Do Not Waste It,” H.E. stressed, is a call to safeguard these hard-earned achievements.
H.E. urged the consolidation of a culture of inclusion and genuine partnership within Iraq and at regional and international levels, highlighting that the coming phase requires openness to all national, regional, and global partners.
H.E. concluded by stating that the upcoming elections will determine Iraq’s course, between a path of inclusion and a path of exclusion, calling on voters to support platforms that offer realistic solutions to the nation’s challenges, reaffirming that moderation and centrism remain the true path toward sustainable progress and stability.
