His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers’ Alliance, received Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ Al-Sudani at His office in Baghdad on Sunday evening, January 18, 2026.
The meeting reviewed developments on the political scene, the formation of the next government, and the unity of the Coordination Framework. His Eminence stressed adherence to constitutional timelines for filling the remaining posts within the three presidencies.
H.E. reaffirmed the unity of the Coordination Framework, noting that it stands as one of the most important pillars of the country’s current stability and has presented a successful model that prompted others to replicate it. H.E. further explained that the stability achieved has been comprehensive—politically, socially, and in terms of security—and called for confronting the economic challenge through additional plans and strategic remedies that curb reliance on a rentier state and activate productive sectors.
