Sayyid Al-Hakeem Receives Qubad Talabani to Discuss Political Updates, National Challenges
His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers’ Alliance, received in His office in Baghdad on Saturday evening, January 24, 2026, His Excellency Qubad Talabani, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government.
During the meeting, they discussed the latest developments in the political situation in Iraq and the unfolding events in the region. His Eminence stressed the importance of preserving the achievements attained in the security, political, and social spheres, and of advancing Iraq toward a stage of lasting stability, along with the need to collectively shoulder the national responsibility to ensure benefits for all the Iraqi people.
His Eminence also called for moving forward with completing the electoral entitlements and filling the remaining positions within the three presidencies, underscoring the importance of addressing economic challenges by diversifying sources of income through well-studied and practical plans that invest in Iraq’s potential.
His Eminence further emphasized the necessity of confronting security challenges through unity and solidarity, and of unifying the national discourse in a way that strengthens stability and safeguards the country’s sovereignty.
