Sayyid Al-Hakeem Discusses Relations Enhancement, Affirms Regional Stability, Constitutional Entitlements Importance with Korean Ambassador
His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers’ Alliance, met this morning with His Excellency the Ambassador of South Korea to Iraq, Mr. Lee Jun-il, to discuss paths for advancing bilateral relations and expanding cooperation through the exchange of expertise across multiple sectors. The meeting also reviewed recent developments in Iraq and the wider region, particularly the ongoing war involving the Islamic Republic of Iran. His Eminence stressed the importance of sustaining the ceasefire and moving toward serious negotiations that would produce a fair and balanced agreement, ultimately paving the way for lasting peace in the region.
Concerning Iraq, His Eminence reaffirmed the need to complete constitutional obligations, proceed with the election of the President of the Republic, and form a government capable of assuming its responsibilities—especially given the sensitive circumstances facing countries in the region, including Iraq, which require a fully empowered Iraqi government.
