Sayyid Al-Hakeem Meets Baghdad Mayor, Stresses Service Development, Revenue Diversification, Traffic Solutions
His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers’ Alliance, met this morning at his office with the Mayor of Baghdad, Engineer Ammar Moussa, where he was briefed on the Municipality’s plans to enhance service delivery across the capital.
H.E. stressed the need for close coordination with the local government and relevant ministries, underscoring the importance of diversifying the Municipality’s revenue streams rather than relying solely on state budgets, particularly in light of financial constraints and economic pressures. H.E. also called for greater attention to green spaces and the development of new road solutions to ease traffic congestion.
H.E. Sayyid Al-Hakeem further emphasized the importance of engaging with Iraqi universities and research institutions to identify effective solutions to the capital’s service challenges, highlighting the need to update legislation in ways that support and modernize the Municipality’s work.
