Sayyid Al-Hakeem Reiterates Rome Partnership, Competencies Government Support, Economic Openness to Italian Ambassador
His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers' Alliance, met with His Excellency the Italian Ambassador to Baghdad, Mr. Nicolo Fontana, in a fruitful meeting during which the depth of the historic relations binding Baghdad and Rome was affirmed.
H.E. Sayyid Al-Hakeem stressed the importance of developing bilateral relations and drawing on mutual experiences to stimulate productive sectors, encompassing agriculture, industry, tourism, investment, and modern technology, noting that Italy possesses a pioneering and rich experience in these fields from which Iraq can benefit.
On the domestic front, H.E. Sayyid Al-Hakeem expressed his support for Mr. Ali Al-Zaidi's government, noting that the character of this government reflects the personality of the Prime Minister as a businessman capable of transcending routine and bureaucracy, and stressed the necessity of appointing competent ministers who embody leadership, integrity, and sound conduct.
H.E. also affirmed the importance of Iraq's openness to all and the bridging of its relations with neighboring countries and the international community, expressing his conviction that deepening and interconnecting shared interests is the optimal path to sustaining and advancing this openness.
