Sayyid Al-Hakeem Calls to End War on the Islamic Republic of Iran
His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers' Alliance, met with His Excellency Ambassador Mohammed Kadhim Al Sadiq, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Baghdad.
Both sides affirmed during the meeting the depth of the relations binding the two neighboring and friendly countries and peoples, and H.E. Sayyid Al-Hakeem commended the resilience of the Iranian people in confronting the challenges it is facing.
H.E. noted the necessity of bringing an end to the war on the Islamic Republic of Iran, explaining that military escalation will only further complicate the situation and heighten tension in the region.
On Iraqi affairs, H.E. Sayyid Al-Hakeem reviewed the current landscape, affirming that Iraq has succeeded in overcoming the state of political deadlock and has managed to form the government and proceed with fulfilling constitutional entitlements, noting that the current challenge is of an economic and financial nature amid declining oil revenues.
H.E. called for seizing this phase to diversify national income sources and activate productive sectors toward broader and more sustainable horizons.
