Sayyid Al-Hakeem Stresses to Strengthen Cybersecurity, Protect Country from E-Attacks
His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers' Alliance, received His Excellency the Minister of Communications, Mr. Mustafa Sanad, in the presence of the Executive Head of the Communications and Media Commission, Mr. Baleegh Abu Galal.
The meeting addressed the reality of the communications sector and the importance of integrated cooperation between the Ministry, the Commission, and all relevant institutions in the field of media and communications.
H.E. Sayyid Al-Hakeem stressed the importance of modern technology in diversifying income sources and leveraging Iraq's position within international communications corridors.
H.E. also stressed the necessity of combating corruption and completing projects related to the sector, and of supporting local governments and educational institutions with internet services and elevating their quality. H.E. further highlighted the importance of strengthening cybersecurity and protecting Iraq from electronic attacks of all kinds.
