Sayyid Al-Hakeem Visits Al-Amal Al-Mutajadid Organization and Affirms the Necessity of Caring for Persons with Disabilities
As part of his visit to Al-Muthanna Governorate, His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers' Alliance, visited the headquarters of Al-Amal Al-Mutajadid Organization for the Care of Persons with Disabilities in the Governorate.
H.E. expressed his profound joy at meeting this important segment of society, extended his blessings on the occasion of the auspicious Eid Al-Ghadeer, and affirmed that true disability is the disability of thought and conduct and psychological defeatism — not physical disability — noting that the latter represents a divine trial and explaining that this world is the abode of trials.
H.E. affirmed that this segment of society possesses energies and capabilities that sometimes render them more productive than many able-bodied individuals, recalling his personal dedication to their cause and expressing this by describing himself as their friend — having championed numerous conferences and programs and worked to secure their rights and integrate them into society.
H.E. stressed the necessity of attending to persons with disabilities, caring for them, and providing what ensures them a life of dignity, advising them not to feel weakness or resentment, but rather to turn to thanking Allah, the Almighty, for this trial and to make the most of the talents He has bestowed upon them.
