Sayyid Al-Hakeem Stresses to Continue Economic Reforms, Preserve Financial Stability
His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers' Alliance, received at his office in Baghdad the former Prime Minister and Head of the Reconstruction and Development Coalition, Mr. Mohammed Shia' Al-Sudani. The meeting featured an in-depth discussion on the latest developments in Iraq's political landscape and the government's efforts to reform the economic reality and overcome the financial crisis.
H.E. stressed the need to put in place the necessary remedies to ensure the government continues meeting its obligations toward sovereign expenditures, calling for an understanding of the current circumstances and the repercussions of the ongoing war in the region on Iraq.
H.E. also stressed the importance of completing the government cabinet, and called on political blocs to engage in further constructive dialogue to achieve the desired goal.
At the close of the meeting, H.E. reaffirmed his support for consolidating weapons under state authority, commending the position of the factions that have responded to this direction, and emphasizing the importance of preserving the stability achieved and pressing forward toward comprehensive and sustainable development.
