Sayyid Al-Hakeem: Qualifying Youth, Supporting Small Projects Keys to  Confront Unemployment

His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers' Alliance, met within the activities of the Baghdad Diwan with a gathering of female elites and competencies, in a meeting that addressed a range of national, developmental, and political files.

H.E. affirmed his appreciation for the role and standing of women in society, pointing to the grave challenges Iraq has endured — wars, economic blockade, and terrorism — and called for acquainting new generations with that dark era and documenting the crimes of the former regime against the Iraqi people.

H.E. stressed taking pride in Iraq's democratic achievement despite all its shortcomings, affirming that state-building is the true gateway to a capable and strong Iraq in which competencies reach decision-making positions, and called on competent individuals to put forward realistic and practical solutions that contribute to serving the nation.

On the developmental front, H.E. called for diversifying national income sources by activating the productive sectors of agriculture, industry, tourism, investment, and technology, and moving away from the rentier state model. H.E. also called for attention to livestock as part of the food security system and for finding a root solution to the electricity crisis.

H.E. affirmed the importance of supporting the private sector, qualifying youth in line with labor market requirements, and creating employment opportunities through small projects to absorb unemployment, noting that political work, like all other endeavors, must be practiced with awareness and responsibility.
