Sayyid Al-Hakeem Meets Anbar’s Sheikhs, Dignitaries at Sheikh Dhiyab Ajeel Al-Kharbeet’s Ramadi Guesthouse
From the city of Ramadi, the center of Anbar province, at the guesthouse of Sheikh Dhiyab Ajeel Al-Kharbeet, His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers' Alliance, met with a gathering of sheikhs and dignitaries, noting that the meeting with the tribes of Anbar reflects the relationship of kinship and tribal ties dating back to the marja'iyya of Imam Al-Hakeem (may his secret be sanctified), adding that this is his fourth visit to Anbar, and that the purpose of the visit is social, rooted in outreach and national unity, while renewing his call for the public prosecution of major corrupt figures and for pressing ahead with the anti-corruption effort.
H.E. noted that Anbar serves as a point of integration between Iraq and its Arab depth, affirming that this gives Anbar added value, in addition to the economic potential the province holds alongside its deep tribal character, pointing out that Iraq is seeking to raise its oil production and expand its export capacity, which positions Anbar as a hub for exporting oil through Arab countries and their ports.
Sayyid Al-Hakeem affirmed that these projects provide job opportunities that bring renewed prosperity to the province, pointing to the process behind the government's formation, and noting that the peaceful transfer of power is a unique phenomenon in our era and region, affirming that the current challenge is an economic one, whereas previous challenges were security- and social-related, calling for advancing the economic reality, and expressing his hope that President Al-Zaidi achieves a breakthrough on the economic file by activating the private sector and driving the wheel of production, while stressing the need to create alternatives and provide job opportunities outside of the state.
H.E. affirmed that raising oil production requires massive investments, which necessitates partnerships with foreign companies to enable Iraq to achieve this goal, stressing that Iraq's stability is a fundamental gateway for attracting capital, thereby supporting Iraq and achieving shared interests through economic integration.
