Sayyid Al-Hakeem: Iraq Overcomes Challenges Through Unity, Economic Reform, Anti-Corruption Efforts

At the guesthouse of Sheikh Ahmed Mamdouh Al-Bulaid, sheikh of Al-Waleed Al-Jumailiya Al-Qaisiya tribe, His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem met with a gathering of sheikhs and dignitaries of the Jumaila tribe and Fallujah district, noting that Fallujah is a significant city among the cities of Anbar and Iraq, and recalling the historic relationship that bound Imam Al-Hakeem (may his secret be sanctified) with the tribes of Anbar and the tribes of Iraq at large, affirming that the visit carries a social character and that Iraq is united through the unity of its people.
H.E. touched on the events unfolding in the region and their impact on Iraq, expressing hope that this crisis would not be prolonged, and calling for enduring and understanding the pressures involved, while stressing the need to reform the economic reality, and explaining that the economic challenge contributed to Prime Minister Ali Al-Zaidi being entrusted with heading the government, adding that Mr. Al-Zaidi understands the nature of conditions within state institutions given his direct exposure to them through his companies and private business before taking on the role of head of government.
H.E. said that the current direction is toward raising production levels and supporting the electricity sector through energy and development funds, through clear programs and radical solutions, expressing his support for these measures and affirming the importance of optimism and spreading positivity.
H.E. renewed his support for the government's direction in combating corruption and focusing on major cases, noting that fighting corruption carries great benefits, and calling for persistence and not backing down, and for exposing cases without political calculations. He also called for bilateral relations with some countries of the international coalition through economic partnerships in line with Iraq's interest.
