dSayyid Al-Hakeem: Al-Hikma National Project Concerned with Iraq, Serving Its People

His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers' Alliance and Leader of Al-Hikma National Movement, met with a gathering of organizational leaderships of Al-Hikma National Movement in the southern Karkh sector of Baghdad, and H.E. opened his remarks, after listening to the interventions of those present, with congratulations on the advent of the month of Rabi' Al-Mawlid, the birth month of the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) and Imam Jaafar Al-Sadiq (PBUH).
H.E. explained that it is a fitting occasion to reflect on the fragrant biography of our Noble Prophet, and the grave challenges he faced, and the difficult labor he endured to establish the project of heaven, setting the loftiest example of patience and steadfastness. H.E. noted that this holds a great lesson for us, in that the targeting we face results from the scale of our influence and activity, stressing the need to confront this targeting with greater patience and steadfastness and redoubled activity. H.E. also explained the necessity of explanation, clarification, and elucidation after arming oneself with information, and of displaying movement identity and pride in belonging to Al-Hikma and its history rich with giving and martyrs.
H.E. affirmed that Al-Hikma is a national project concerned with Iraq and serving its people, and respects all segments of the Iraqi people across all ethnicities, religions, and sects, and enjoys the acceptance of all while taking pride in national, religious, and sectarian particularities, stressing the importance of Al-Hikma being an echo of others' aspirations, and that its members exert their utmost efforts in serving the people, which represents a priority for us.
Economically, H.E. affirmed that the economic challenge may represent an opportunity for strategic remedies through diversifying sources of income and diversifying oil export outlets.
H.E. also reaffirmed his support for combating corruption, stressing the necessity of its continuation, and pursuing and cutting off every hand that has reached into public funds, along with the importance of targeting major files.
On the matter of confining weapons to the hands of the state, H.E. affirmed that it is a constitutional demand and one endorsed by the Marja'iyya, which has featured in the programs of successive governments, and that it must be carried out within the framework of the Popular Mobilization Forces through dialogue and understanding, to preserve social peace and to honor the sacrifices of the factions that gave the martyrs whose images are spread across the streets.
