Sayyid Al-Hakeem Stresses Activating Productive Investment, Employing Iraqi Labor
His Eminence Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers' Alliance, stressed the importance of investment and developing its mechanisms, and adopting governance and automation in investor transactions, considering investment an important part of the "five pillars of national economic diversification" and moving away from the rentier state.
H.E. explained, during his reception of the Head of the National Investment Commission, Mr. Adel Al-Yasiri, that the five pillars consist of agriculture, industry, tourism, investment, and modern technology, calling for the necessity of raising awareness about investment and investors and their impact on serving the local economy.
Sayyid Al-Hakeem also affirmed the importance of reviving land through investment, noting that productive investment is that which seeks out unproductive land and opportunity and transforms it into a productive opportunity, calling for moving away from city centers to avoid overcrowding and increased urban congestion, and stressing the obligation of investors to comply with the terms of the investment license in the housing sector, in order to ease the crisis and make it possible for citizens to afford housing, as well as the importance of employing Iraqi labor.
