Sayyid Al-Hakeem: Economic Challenges Require National Solidarity, Institutional Reform

As part of ongoing engagement with political powers and parliamentary blocs, His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers' Alliance, received a delegation from the Al-Bayan Al-Watani Bloc at his office in Baghdad, and discussed with them developments in the political scene in Iraq and the region, and the nature of the challenges facing Iraq in the current stage.
H.E. affirmed that the economic challenge is a pressing one, resulting from a dire circumstance affecting the region that has cast its shadow over the Iraqi reality, calling for an understanding of these challenges and for solidarity and mutual support in confronting them.
Sayyid Al-Hakeem explained that the consolidation of weapons under state authority is an Iraqi project in terms of demand, timing, and mechanism, noting the importance of completing the anti-corruption campaign, targeting major corruption files, and recovering public funds, while also calling for the adoption of governance and automation to dry up the sources of corruption.
