Sayyid Al-Hakeem: Oil Production Decline, Exports Represents Challenge, Opportunity to Rebuild Economy
At the guesthouse of Sheikh Ali Agha Al-Awzeri, His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers' Alliance, met with a gathering of dignitaries from the city of Erbil, and congratulated them on the occasion of the Prophet's noble birthday, pointing to the moral character reflected in the life of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him and his family), as well as his humility, upbringing, and closeness to the people, and noting that his visit to the Kurdistan Region comes as an expression of the affection and historical relationship between the family of Imam Al-Hakeem (may his soul be sanctified) and the Barzani family and the people of Kurdistan at large, reaffirming the importance of passing this relationship on to future generations.
H.E. pointed to Iraq's current challenges, represented by the economic crisis resulting from the decline in oil production and exports, noting that these challenges carry significant opportunities that require investment in order to be turned into success stories.
