Sayyid Al-Hakeem: Develop Iraqi-Italian Relations Serves Two Friendly Countries Interests
His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers' Alliance, received the Italian Ambassador to Iraq, His Excellency Mr. Nicolò Fontana, and discussed with him the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and ways to develop them in a manner that serves the interests of both sides, pointing to the importance to Iraq of a country of Italy's stature, given its considerable economic and political capabilities.
H.E. pointed to the challenges facing Iraq, foremost the economic challenge resulting from the repercussions of regional developments, explaining the importance of taking the necessary measures to diversify the economy, multiply export outlets, and increase oil production.
H.E. renewed support for the tracks addressing the issue of weapons outside the framework of the state, in line with the approach of dialogue and understanding, praising all efforts that contributed to confronting terrorism, liberating the land, and restoring the prestige of the state.
