Sayyid Al-Hakeem: Automating, Governing Interior Ministry Departments Necessary to Develop Services Provided to Citizens
His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers’ Alliance, received this evening at his office in Baghdad His Excellency Interior Minister Mr. Yasser Al-Maliki, on the occasion of winning the confidence of the Council of Representatives and assuming the duties of the ministry.
H.E. congratulated Mr. Al-Maliki at the start of the meeting on winning the confidence of the Council of Representatives, wishing him success and prosperity in the new duties.
H.E. stressed the need to proceed with government procedures and to work on completing the items of the government program, in a way that fulfills the aspirations of the Iraqi people to have services, security, and stability.
H.E. also stressed the importance of security agencies taking charge in maintaining internal security and imposing the prestige of the state, noting that supporting the security institution and developing its capabilities is a national priority at the current stage, and calling for continuing the process of automation and governance in Interior Ministry departments, as it is the body concerned with the citizen from the moment of birth until death.
