    4th NGOs Conference; Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem calls NGOs to actively contribute to forthcoming elections success

    Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, head of the National State Powers Alliance, called on Non-Governmental Organizations to actively contribute to the success of the forthcoming elections and stressed the need to identify the "good from the bad" programs and put it before the citizens. 
    His Eminence said during the 4th National NGOs Conference, which was held in his office in Baghdad on Saturday, May 29, 2021, “Our country is going through an important historical transitional phase, which carries with it great risks as well as great opportunities, in the transition from the young democratic experience and its repercussions, towards a mature democratic option. 
    His Eminence emphasized the immediate need to end the era of chaos, monopoly, intersectionality, and violence. Bitter experiences and extremist methods have brought our country nothing but ruin and more bloodshed and disruption. All NGOs must urge the Iraqi people to have a broad, conscience, and active participation in the elections, and to analyze all of the proposed programs and approaches are dismantle it and separate the good ones from the bad ones. Pointing out the importance of “to have a society that’s immune from devious and illegal electoral methods and means, such as electoral fraud, political money, uncontrolled weapons, electronic armies, false promises, suspicious agendas, and marketing racism and sectarianism to win electoral votes.
