Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem: Diplomatic achievement; successful agreement concluded with U.S.
Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, head of the National State Powers Alliance, praised the diplomatic achievement for the homeland through concluding the agreement to withdraw combat forces from Iraq.
His Eminence tweeted on Monday, July 26, 2021, “A prosperous position of the Prime Minister and the Iraqi negotiating delegation in Washington, which did succeed, with the support of the political powers, in achieving a diplomatic achievement for the homeland. It was the conclusion of an agreement with the American side to withdraw all combat forces by the end of this year and to keep the training, advisory, and intelligence cooperation in place between the two countries.”
His Eminence showed that this achievement stemmed from the unity of the Iraqi position that rejects the foreign military presence and replaces it with mutual relations that preserve Iraq's interests and sovereignty and the position of Iraq in its regional surroundings. H.E. reiterated his gratitude and thanks for all the efforts that were made, and congratulate all of Iraq's diplomatic achievements.
