Sayyid Al-Hakeem lauds farmer’s supplied wheat prices increase resolution
Sayyid Al-Hakeem, head of Al-Hikma National Movement, lauded the resolution of the Council of Ministers to increase the prices of processed wheat from farmers to 850 thousand dinars per ton.
His Eminence tweeted on 17/5/2022, "The decision to increase the price of buying wheat from farmers to 850 thousand dinars per ton is an important step and in the right direction towards supporting the agricultural sector and encouraging farmers to market the wheat to state institutions. In commending this decision of the Council of Ministers, we call for the investment of financial abundance in the payment of all farmers' dues."
His Eminence urged the relevant authorities to take further steps and actions in favor of supporting Iraq's agricultural sector, as food security starts from farmers, and the expansion of cultivated land protects against desertification and environmental volatility.
