Sayyid Al-Hakeem meets the Jordanian political academic delegation, discusses the region's challenges and extremism’s intellectual solutions
Sayyid Al-Hakeem, head of Al-Hikma National Movement, met with a Jordanian political and academic delegation headed by Dr. Hasan Al-Momani Professor of International Relations at the University of Jordan on 28/9/2022, and pointed out that the nature of the relationship of the Iraqi Citizen and the political system is an integrated one. The Government and the political system in Iraq are the results of practicing democracy and parliamentary elections, and that freedom of expression is guaranteed in all its fields.
His Eminence stressed the importance of perpetuating the tripartite understanding between Iraq, Jordan, and Egypt in a way that serves the interests of all and achieves the sovereignty of these countries. H.E. also clarified the nature of the role that Iraq played in converging the views of the region’s parties, as this role stems from Iraq’s conviction of the necessity of adopting dialogue to resolve outstanding problems and its keenness to area security.
His Eminence also discussed with the visiting delegation the modernization of the unitary religious discourse that unites and does not differentiate, and said, "ISIS was an ideological challenge rather than a military or security challenge, and that the treatment begins with correcting concepts and immunizing society from intrusive ideologies.
