Sayyid Al-Hakeem stresses managing Iraq’s diversity transition on International Day of Living Together in Peace
On the International Day of Living Together in Peace, we met a delegation of The Kasanzani Order of Iraq and the world, Sheik Sattar Al-Hilou, the head of the Sabean Mandean cult in Iraq and the world, Mr. Ahmed Al-Kattaf, head of the Circassians cult in Iraq, and Archbishop Efram Al-Khori Benjamin, the Orthodox Syriac Archbishop, separately, and affirmed the importance of diversity in Iraq, and that cults and religions are sources of enrichment to the Iraqi community as it displays the diversity of several cultures.
We also affirmed the importance of transitioning from acknowledging diversity to managing it, as cults, religions, and nationalities are messengers of Iraq to the peoples and countries of the world to whomever they share their religion, cult, or nationality. We stated that all titles are respected and protected under the inclusive unifying Iraqi identity.
