Sayyid Al-Hakeem meets Barzani, emphasizes stability preservation and continuity
Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of Al-Hikma National Movement, received Mr. Nechervan Barzani, the President of the Kurdistan Region. They discussed views on the political developments in Iraq and the region, emphasizing the importance of maintaining the achieved stability at the political, economic, social, and security levels.
His Eminence stated that stability would not have been possible without the blood and sacrifices made by Iraqis from all components.
Additionally, H.E. discussed with Barzani the upcoming dues, including the recent local elections' outcomes and the resulting political landscape in Iraqi provinces. H.E. stressed the need to invest in this phase to enhance the service and developmental reality of the provinces, emphasizing the importance of forming local governments based on harmonious and competent teams.
H.E. called for adherence to the constitution and existing laws as the basis for resolving outstanding issues between the federal government and the regional government. Emphasizing the need for concessions for the benefit of public interest, and urging utilizing this phase to address real outstanding challenges.
Regarding regional affairs, H.E. underscored the necessity to halt the war in Gaza, urging the international community to shoulder its responsibilities toward the ongoing genocide of an unarmed nation.
