Sayyid Al-Hakeem welcomes resuming negotiations with International Coalition, calls for seriousness
Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of Al-Hikma National Movement, met with the U.S. Ambassador to Baghdad, Ms. Alina Romanowski on 26/2/2024, and embraced the resumption of bilateral negotiations on ending the international coalition's mission and transitioning to bilateral relations. Emphasizing the need for seriousness during negotiations, H.E. reiterated support for Al-Sudani government in managing dialogue within the High Military Committee. Additionally, H.E. condemned the unjust war in Gaza and urged its immediate cessation, along with providing humanitarian aid to Palestinians. H.E. highlighted how recent elections have strengthened the democratic process by forming local governments and expressed hope for governors' success in their roles.
H.E. emphasized condemnation of attempts to destabilize peace through violence and supporting security forces in pursuing perpetrators of such criminal acts.
