    Sayyid Al-Hakeem: “One of stability’s foundations is not to impose opinions on the political majority, rather supreme country’s interest within any project or decision

    Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of Al-Hikma National Movement, emphasized the necessity of continuing to consolidate stability, moderation, and centrism, pledging to continue supporting the stabilization of political affairs in the country and prioritizing the principles of moderation and centrism in political behavior and action, considering the continuation of political stability in the country as a constant national priority on 15/3/2024.
    His Eminence stated on the fifteenth anniversary of the passing of Azeez Al-Iraq, His Eminence, Sayyid Abdul-Azeez Al-Hakeem, that stability has foundations, the most important of which is not imposing the opinion on the national political majority, but rather prioritizing the higher interests of the country in any project or political decision, calling on national political powers to preserve this national achievement by enhancing the spirit of cooperation and dialogue to preserve the pillars of stability in the country.
    H.E. stressed the importance of achieving economic development through both government and societal efforts by focusing on strategies and citizens' commitment to laws, besides financial and banking reform pursued by the current government, which presents a healthy approach to addressing the obstacles hindering the wheel of strategic investments in the country and combating corruption.
    H.E. stressed the importance of revitalizing the Provincial Councils and developing their programs and mechanisms, insisting that the current session of Provincial Councils should stand out from others through a methodology of reconstruction and strategic planning. H.E. added, "We do not want a separation of roles between the legislative and executive authorities, rather we want one unified and harmonious team between the Provincial Council and its local government; to be one team in the field of service and reconstruction." H.E. urged the Provincial Councils to prioritize cultural and societal awareness in their projects and laws.
    H.E. emphasized the commitment to openness and international commitments and not compromising on moral and ethical principles, stating that Iraq has international obligations within the framework of the higher interests of the country and we must deal with these commitments with the rationality of statesmen.
    Regarding the Palestinian issue, H.E. said, "The United States has made a grave mistake in its support for the Zionist entity and expanding the conflict in the region to include the Houthis in Yemen," expressing his belief that "they have begun to realize this in recent times," expressing his hope that the US administration understands well the nature of the new variables in the region as the whole world is changing, and the Middle East is at the forefront of this change in the balance of power and social developments and political events.
    H.E. affirmed that the Islamic and Arab peoples will not relent in their support and adherence to finding a just solution for the Palestinian people, which entails an immediate cessation of hostilities, sufficient humanitarian aid, and the reconstruction of resilient Gaza to achieve its full rights in forming its independent state on its territories with its capital, Jerusalem, emphasizing his continuous efforts through his ongoing meetings with regional leaders to clarify the true picture of the Iraqi reality and his earnest endeavor to deepen its Arab and Islamic roots and to establish the foundations of stability, peace, reconstruction, and development in the region.
