Sayyid Al-Hakeem congratulates Yazidis over new year, calls to redress them, foster Yazidi abducted women
Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of Al-Hikma National Movement, extended heartfelt congratulations to our Yazidi brothers and sisters in Iraq and across the globe as they celebrate the Yazidi New Year, known as "Sersal" on 17/4/2024. His Eminence expressed affection and pride for this ancient and peaceful component of our cherished people, which has enriched our nation's culture, diversity, and values with its ethos of harmony and coexistence. H.E. affirmed that the tragedies faced by the Yazidi community at the hands of the criminal ISIS gangs, along with those experienced by other Iraqi communities, will remain ingrained in our collective memory, urging us to always remember that Yazidis’ suffering has brought international attention to their religion and plight, necessitating both material and moral support, as well as ongoing efforts to address the issue of their abducted women.
