Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, head of Al-Hikma National Movement, met with the Minister of Water Resources, Aoun Dhiab, to discuss the ministry's approach to tackling water scarcity and its future plans for enhancing water resources in Iraq.
His Eminence stressed the critical role of agriculture in sustainable development, noting that improvements in the agricultural sector positively impact the economy, environment, and security. H.E. emphasized that agriculture also provides job opportunities, preserves traditional professions, and upholds Iraq's historical identity as an agricultural nation.
H.E. urged the completion of delayed projects in the provinces, particularly in those H.E. has recently visited. Additionally, H.E. stressed the adoption of modern irrigation techniques to increase rice cultivation areas and emphasized the importance of ensuring equitable water distribution to support agricultural development in the provinces.
