Sayyid Al-Hakeem to EU Foundation for Dialogue: Iraq faced existential challenges; any country would cease to exist if faced those challenges

During His Eminence’s meeting with the delegation from the European Foundation for Dialogue and Development, led by Mr. Alaa Al-Bahadli, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of Al-Hikma National Movement, discussed the latest developments in Iraq and the region, focusing on Iraq's political landscape, its system of governance, and the challenges it faced in establishing foundational principles and drafting the constitution.
H.E. pointed out that Iraq has faced existential challenges that could have led to the collapse of any other country in similar circumstances. H.E. emphasized that the Iraqi constitution was crafted to address the aspirations of all Iraqi citizens and that the current political, social, and security stability is a result of the sacrifices made by all components of Iraqi society.
H.E. also illustrated Iraq's role in converging different regional parties, stressing that Iraq's security is intertwined with the security of the region. H.E. advocated for ongoing dialogue to resolve any disputes between countries in the region.
Regarding the Gaza crisis, H.E. urged the international community to take immediate action to stop what we described as genocide against the Palestinian people. H.E. also called on international organizations to communicate the nature of the crisis in Gaza to the global audience.
