Sayyid Al-Hakeem: Maintaining Iraq’s Stability Favors Regional and World’s Interest

Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers' Alliance, received His Excellency Mr. Glenn Miles, the Australian Ambassador to Baghdad, to discuss the latest political developments in Iraq and the region, the bilateral relations between Iraq and Australia, and the ongoing situation in Gaza. His Eminence emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral relations and leveraging the shared experiences and commonalities between our two countries. H.E. also highlighted the need to revitalize Iraq's agricultural sector, stressing the importance of sustained support for this vital sector, learning from the experiences of advanced countries like Australia, and using optimal water management methods.
H.E. underscored the importance of maintaining stability in Iraq, noting that it contributes to the stability of the region and the world. H.E. pointed out positive developments in political, social, and security areas as key factors for this stability. We reiterated our support for the government in implementing its program to provide services, facilitate reconstruction, create job opportunities, and empower and support youth. H.E. also emphasized the need for developmental plans to keep pace with population growth, highlighting that Iraq has many promising opportunities that require sustained and lasting stability.
H.E. called to put an end to the Gaza crisis and the immediate cessation of the genocide against the Palestinian people. H.E. held the international community responsible for ending the humanitarian crisis and addressing the collapse of moral values, as the world turned a blind eye to the daily killing and destruction perpetrated by the Israeli entity against Palestinians.
