Sayyid Al-Hakeem urges to focus on youth teams, invest capabilities and talents
Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers' Alliance, met with the President of the Iraqi Football Association, Captain Adnan Dirjal, to discuss the Association's plans for developing football and achieving success. His Eminence congratulated the start of the Iraqi league and stressed the importance of improving the league, focusing on youth development, and attracting financial support and investors.
H.E. emphasized the need to use football's widespread popularity to raise awareness, educate, and shape the character of Iraqi youth, shielding them from ideological and moral dangers. H.E. also called for more attention to local teams and the creation of mechanisms to tap into their talents and potential.
H.E. highlighted the importance of supporting the national team's path in the World Cup qualifiers, ensuring proper organization, and building larger stadiums to accommodate the growing crowds that flock to match venues.
Furthermore, H.E. stressed the need for coordination between sports institutions and the involvement of the private sector in advancing the game. H.E. also underscored the value of drawing on expertise in sports medicine and enhancing sports medical facilities.
